Rams Mourn Passing of Rodier

REGINA, Sask. - The University of Regina Rams are saddened to learn of the passing of former player Alex Rodier, who was involved in a vehicle accident late last week while returning to Manitoba.

"Alex was an exceptional student-athlete who made a great contribution to our program and to the University of Regina," Rams head coach Frank McCrystal said. "His loss is felt by everyone involved with our program, in particular his teammates and coaches. Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to Alex's family and friends."

Rodier, a 6'6" receiver out of River East Collegiate in Winnipeg, spent the 2006 season as a redshirt with the Rams.

Arrangements are being made for a memorial service to be held in Winnipeg later this week.
