Four Rams Selected to East
West Bowl
OTTAWA, Ont. - Canadian Interuniversity Sport announced Wednesday
morning the rosters for the fifth annual East West Bowl,
including four players from the University of Regina Rams on the
West team.
Quarterback Teale Orban, running back Graham Mosiondz, offensive
lineman Brendon LaBatte, and defensive lineman Bjorn Person will
all represent the Rams in the East West Bowl, scheduled for May
12 at Laval University's PEPS Stadium in Quebec City.
"It's a great reflection on the program and on the hard work
of each of these individuals," Rams head coach Frank
McCrystal said. "We're very proud of them and hope they do
well at the event."
The East West Bowl showcases CIS players who will be eligible for
the 2008 Canadian Football League draft. The East squad is
comprised of student-athletes representing institutions from the
Atlantic and Quebec conferences in addition to Ottawa, Queen's,
York and Toronto, while the West squad is made up of players from
universities west of the GTA. Each CIS football-playing school is
represented by a minimum of three and a maximum of four players.
Kickoff for the 2007 East West Bowl game is set for 12 p.m.
Eastern on May 12. The first practices are scheduled for May 8,
while the East West Bowl banquet will take place at 6 p.m. on May
10.
