Four Rams Selected to East West Bowl

OTTAWA, Ont. - Canadian Interuniversity Sport announced Wednesday morning the rosters for the fifth annual East West Bowl, including four players from the University of Regina Rams on the West team.

Quarterback Teale Orban, running back Graham Mosiondz, offensive lineman Brendon LaBatte, and defensive lineman Bjorn Person will all represent the Rams in the East West Bowl, scheduled for May 12 at Laval University's PEPS Stadium in Quebec City.

"It's a great reflection on the program and on the hard work of each of these individuals," Rams head coach Frank McCrystal said. "We're very proud of them and hope they do well at the event."

The East West Bowl showcases CIS players who will be eligible for the 2008 Canadian Football League draft. The East squad is comprised of student-athletes representing institutions from the Atlantic and Quebec conferences in addition to Ottawa, Queen's, York and Toronto, while the West squad is made up of players from universities west of the GTA. Each CIS football-playing school is represented by a minimum of three and a maximum of four players.

Kickoff for the 2007 East West Bowl game is set for 12 p.m. Eastern on May 12. The first practices are scheduled for May 8, while the East West Bowl banquet will take place at 6 p.m. on May 10.
