Rams Prepare
For 2007 Training Camp
REGINA, Sask. - The University of Regina Rams will open up
their 2007 training camp this weekend, as 67 players will
engage in preparations for the upcoming season.
The Rams will kick off training camp with their annual retreat.
The players will travel to St. Michael's Retreat near Lumsden
for a one-day excursion, returning to Regina on Friday for
testing.
Saturday and Sunday will be the first two days of official
practice at the Rams' on-campus field. The team will practice
from 7:30 to 10 a.m. and again from 3 to 5 p.m. on both days.
On Monday and Tuesday, the Rams will be on the field from 8 to
10:30 a.m. and again from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The team will
practice on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of next week at 7
p.m.
The camp will culminate with the Green & Gold Game, pitting
the offence against the defence on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m.
at Mosaic Stadium. All practices and the Green & Gold Game
are open to the public and free of charge.
The Rams open up their 2007 Canada West schedule on Saturday,
Sept. 1 at 3 p.m. at Mosaic Stadium against the University of
Manitoba Bisons.
