The 42nd
Annual
University
of
Regina
Rams Sports Dinner will be held
Friday, March 7th, 2008
at the Queensbury Convention Centre beginning at
6pm
with a champagne reception.
Michael
Ball, Rams play-by-play
broadcaster, will act as Master of Ceremonies.
Michael will bring his sense of humour and wit to a night
already filled with laughter and good times as well as his in
depth knowledge of the Rams football club.
The
feature entertainment for this year’s dinner will be one
of the most versitile Comedians in the business, AL Rae. He is
a Just For Laughs National
Homegrown Comic Competition winner and also
the comedy staff writer for CBC’s
Little Mosque on the Prairies. Al, a performer,
writer, planner, programmer, and patron saint of chaos will keep
everyone laughing from the start to the finish.
Once again, we will be
featuring one of the most popular Rams’ events, the silent
auction of sports memorabilia, as well as a live auction with
a number of exciting prizes. This year ex-Ram and current Green
Bay Packers punter Jon Ryan has donated a trip for two to see a
Packers home game in support of the Bob Ryan scholarship fund.
Tickets are $100 (plus GST) or $700 (plus GST) for
a table of eight. Upon
request, a tax receipt will be provided acknowledging a portion
of the ticket cost as a charitable donation.
All proceeds from the Dinner will be used to fund
the University of Regina
Rams Educational Assistance Plan that helps our student
athletes in earning an education while playing a sport that they
love.
A ticket order form is located on the top of this
page, which can be faxed to the
University
of
Regina Rams
at 585-5479. Cheques
can be made payable to the Regina Rams Football Club. Your
purchased tickets will be mailed out prior to the last week of
February.
We are asking you to help
us celebrate our 42nd
Sports Dinner by making it the largest and most exciting one in
the Club’s history. We hope you will once again purchase
tickets or table and help us to promote the event to your family,
friends and co-workers. Your support of the 2008 Sports Dinner will assist
the
University
of
Regina Rams
in their quest to become this years’ Vanier
Cup Champions.
